In all stories there are exceptions and in our story Tommy is our war groom. While serving in Sydney, Nova Scotia he met and married Vera Sheaves from Port aux Bausques who at age 12 had moved to Corner Brook. After the war Tommy took his war bride and baby home to Sctland but Vera was not happy and the family moved back to Conrer Brook.
